Ben Spies is a professional motorcycle racer from the United States who was born on July 11, 1984 in Germantown, Tennessee. The first time won the world championship with the team Yamaha Italy World Superbike Racing in 2009 and moved to the MotoGP race in 2010 Joined the Tech 3 Yamaha team in place of James Toseland.

In 2009 Ben Spies WSBK world champion by beating Noriyuki Haga of Ducati Xerox Team in the final race at the Circuit Portimoo Circuit, Portugal and recorded as a newcomer who is able to achieve WSBK world champion.

In 2007 had replaced the injured Loris Capirossi at the new MotoGP Laguna Seca. In another time with Team Suzuki Wildcards can ration U.S. All Stars Indianapolis GP. In the second race was able to reach the top 10 are:
